■THE NAUGHTY BOY: Our ISRO recently launched a meteorological satellite: INSAT-3DS. A satellite needs a rocket to ride to reach its intended orbit. For this satellite the rocket used was GSLV-F14. Although it is a powerful rocket, it has failed to successfully fly 4 out of 15 times in the past. This is considered a high failure rate for any rocket.The other rockets used by ISRO for example, LVM3 has never failed and PSLV has failed only twice in its launches.
