"Detached I was reading a blog on the website of Psychology Today, “Sense of belonging is a basic need,” it did say. Got thoughts while reading, and thought to write this poem, I’m growing in a different way, it seems, I don’t feel like I belong. ’Twas fun Friday going on at workplace, involving all office-people, I didn’t participate, indulged scrolling desktop screen, sitting in my cubicle. Ze often ask why I’m so non-participative, And suggest me to participate and become active. None of ’em understands I ne’er get the urge to participate, Socialising is something I always negle’t. I enjoy readin’ books or listenin’ to songs, And prefer enjoying company of my own, With others I don’t get along. I’m all detached, to nothin’ & none I belong. ©Saurav Banerjee"
