He practiced meditation under the Bodhi tree, And achieved enlightenment, becoming free, From suffering, craving, and attachment, His wisdom and compassion, a priceless asset. He taught the path of the Middle Way, A noble path that leads to liberation, they say, With the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path, He showed the way to end suffering and its aftermath. Today, we remember the great sage, Whose teachings continue to light up our age, May we follow his teachings with dedication and zeal, And find peace, happiness, and true spiritual appeal.
