PRAYERS
Prayers are heard
Only you need to know how to pray
Wishes are fulfilled
If they are genuine and from the heart
He listens and speaks
You know not how to communicate
Surrender at His feet
Not out of compulsion
But with love and passion
Pray the way Draupadi prayed
See how prayers are answered
Unless surrender is complete
Prayers are from the lips
Hardly from the heart and mind
Till ego guides you to action
Till your mindset and vanity
Never allows you to surrender
Never pray
You do not deserve an answer
When you are the doer, the master
The architect of what is happening
Where is the scope for God's intervention?
When you think that you are the doer
When you believe in your strength
In the strength of others to see you through
God silently moves away and
You are left alone on your feet
How can you pray, how can you seek God's Mercy, And ask for his intervention
When you feel you and your surroundings
Are capable enough?
Believe yourself
But act at His behest, not as the master
But as a servant.
Live for Him
Let He be in your every breath
Be in your eyes, ears
And senses of perception
Let your dreams and dramas
Action, wishes and accomplishments
Are at His lotus feet
Love Him like the Gopis
Have the patience and faith of
Sabari and Prahalad
Pray with devotion like Dhruba.
Seek Him with tears rolling down your cheeks
The way the king of elephants prayed
To come out of the jaws of death
When the crocodile was dragging it
Deep into the ocean
Never doubt
Prayers have been answered over the ages
Prayers are answered even now
Prayers will be answered in future
Only you are to come out of your ego and vanity
To see Thy mercy in whatever you see
And what lies beyond your vision and perception
You will find your God standing in front
Listening to your prayers
And patting your shoulders
