A LOOK AT LIFE-30

Relationship
Such a fabulous word in common man's vocabulary
Such a beauty that made the world
Look so elegant and fascinating
And life nothing
short of a paradise on earth.
It binds one
with the other
In a thread of
Love, jealousy, hatred and many more
And keep one deeply engrossed
In his pursuit of a better life here
And hereafter
Relationship is relative
Even the sweetest of relationships
Comes under stress
For by its very nature
Relationship is unstable and
The capacity of the thread
To bear is never unlimited
It breaks when
We expect too much out of it
It breaks when
Naked self-interest parade
Up and down in the guise of virtue
It breaks
For we evaluate another
And interpret a situation
As per our own interest
Which is the only permanent thing
In this fragile world
It breaks
For we analyze situations not
As they are
For we evaluate one not
As he is
But as we see and define them
As per our interests
Naked and permanent
The priorities of life
Keep on changing
So the relationships
We cultivated and endured
The sweetest of relationships
We shared over the years
Becomes an unnecessary liability
And that is life
We are to accept it
