"White CHAPTER 4: LOVE CAN BE ABSURD... "I LOVE YOU", He said without even thinking for a second that day on March 1st 2024, on my birthday. All my mind thought that day was that a crazy person came out of nowhere to blurt some nonsense just to waste some seconds of his life. Yet Now... I turned twenty but then the next couple of minutes just turned out to be a complete typhoon. I mean...he didn't even look at my face when he confessed but just kept on facing the ground with his face fully turned red. I thought, "Jeez, what is he? A monkey who just came out from hot spring?" When I asked what he liked about me, he didn't utter a word. I said without feeling anything for him, "I am sorry but my parents wouldn't allow such relationships!" I lied indeed! I was an orphan from the day I opened my eyes. Everything he did was totally unusual! Who would even confess their feelings with a cake instead of flowers? Then and there we would meet in the university campus, but we both acted complete strangers. One day, I was late for my History professor's class. I was rushing to class like I was running in some marathon. I didn't even think that it would be my greatest unfortunate day. I fell down because of slippery floor and ended up writing 10 essays 10 times after my class ended. My mood couldn't get worse any more then this. In the middle of all this, he appeared with a sign board indicating 'Sorry'. Sorry? For what exactly? I don't understand anything about him anymore. He was being precarious from the day he confessed. What are you doing here, YOU CREEP? Can you already stop with your pretentious act? Seriously it's getting on my nerves! Please get lost from my sight if you can from now onwards! I totally took my entire frustration on him. He couldn't face me anymore and started looking down. Surprisingly he started talking in a low voice. I interrupted. "Let me finish, I am sorry that I didn't even have the courage to save you when I saw you falling down on a slippery ground!" "Yes, I am not manly like other boys yet I can't help falling in love with you!" He was usually a scaredy car but that day he seemed like a different person with a very serious look on his face. When he told me all those feelings he felt inside, he looked p. I started to think, "Oh, is this how he always looked like?" I found myself noticing my irregular heartbeat. With a slight hesitation and blush, he whispered, "Should there be a reason for liking someone? Would you believe me if I said that I have been noticing you since the day you stood up for your friend?" I was astonished! I thought he would never talk to me again but I didn't expect to be so direct with his feelings. I began to slightly blush as I heard my heart beating more and more. I thought, "IS THIS LOVE?" "Hey, if you don't mind, do you think we could be in a relationship from now onwards....?" In a second, I saw his hands reaching out to hug me, warming my soul and body.
