The more desires one has, the more they will suffer. Our mere existence is suffering. In our life we distinguish pleasure from suffering and tend to cling to pleasure. This is our inherent nature. But suffering is inseparable from pleasure, for one is never found without the other. Therefore, the more we seek pleasure and avoid suffering, the more entangled we become in the duality of pleasure and suffering.



जितनी ज़्यादा इच्छाएँ होंगी, उतना ही ज़्यादा दुख होगा। हमारा अस्तित्व ही दुख है। अपने जीवन में हम सुख और दुख में अंतर करते हैं और सुख से चिपके रहते हैं। यह हमारा स्वाभाविक स्वभाव है। लेकिन दुख सुख से अविभाज्य है, क्योंकि एक के बिना दूसरा कभी नहीं मिलता। इसलिए, जितना ज़्यादा हम सुख की तलाश करते हैं और दुख से बचते हैं, उतना ही हम सुख और दुख के द्वंद्व में उलझ जाते हैं।
