A man is often viewed as a tough personality. But hiding behind his smiling face, is a human. A person who also has fears, weaknesses, who feels scared, who feels like he has to be someone else in order to feel loved and respected by the people around him. Vulnerability in a man is very less likely to be accepted. And even is very less likely to be accepted. And even if it does, he himself ends up being the one who feels ashamed of being seen as weak. But why?

Men were shaped to be warriors of the society. But it soon became a means to suppress emotions. To a point where even
in this day and age, many men feel like they have no-one to share their vulnerability with. All the confusion, self doubts, moments where they need support, but they are afraid to reach out for the fear of being judged. Many of them have forgotten how to open up, and even if they somehow gather the courage to do so, people come up with phrases like, "Men don't cry", "Mard ko dard nahi hota" or "Just man up.". And if you ask a guy he'd describe it like an open sky starting to feel suffocating.

So let's take this as a reminder to be there for our men. To realise that sharing their thoughts and vulnerability is their strength. To never belittle or make fun of them when they reach out for help. To remember that they can be strong yet gentle. To know that a struggling man, is a man who is trying.
